Memorial Brick Walk

BE PART OF THE FIRST PHASE!

You are invited to buy a brick, either for you or for someone else, to honor a loved one or acknowledge special occasions such as a birth, baptism, wedding, graduation, or just to leave a lasting connection to St. Paul’s Church. There are not requirements.

The Memorial Garden will have three phases. The first phase is the circular path in the center. This phase could be installed during the spring of 2011 if enough bricks are purchased. The second phase will be the four connecting paths to the circle. The third phase will be the wider path and circle where the church sign could be relocated.

THE BRICKS

You will be able to create your own message on a Vitralase® engraved brick by Brick Markers, USA®. The patented process involves applying extreme intensive heat to a specific area, in turn, transforming the clay of the brick into hardened glass, creating an attractive, durable, and long lasting engraving. This method eliminates the hazards of freezing ice and snow that cause deterioration and erosion on the sandblast-and-fill method.

The cost for a 4 x 8 Belden brick will be $100.00 and include up to 3 lines of wording and 20 characters per line (including spaces and punctuation). Clip art is available for free. When using clip art, you will be limited to 12 characters per line, and you must choose a layout. See insert for choice of clip art designs and layouts.

Double sized 8 x 8 bricks are also available for $200 and will include 6 lines of wording and 20 characters per line (including punctuation/spaces). Added clip art will reduce the lines to 4 lines with 20 characters. Art will be at the bottom.

The bricks will be professionally installed to ensure years of stability and integrity. Phase one will be installed as a complete unit with no additional bricks allowed once installed. Future phase installations will be determined at a later date. A closing date for phase one will be announced once the necessary number of bricks is close to being reached.

All proceeds from the campaign will go to fund a building and grounds fund that will maintain the gardens, church, and rectory.

The original 33 donors of the Memorial Garden will be provided a brick for their inscription so they will forever be a continuing influence in our church.
