The Bishop’s Ball is a dance for
all the youth of the Diocese. It is
for anyone in grades 6 - 12 and their friends. This year’s
Bishop’s Ball is Saturday February 11 at the Diocesan Ministry Center, 1064
Brighton Rd., Tonawanda. The Ball
begins at 7 p.m. and ends at 10 p.m. The
cost is $5.
Five
youth and four adults from St. Paul’s are headed to the Cathedral of St. John
the Divine in New York City to participate in the Nightwatch program.
Nightwatch allows teenagers to spend the night in the Cathedral, explore
the great organ, pray, play and learn in one of the country’s great
cathedrals. They will be taking the
train to and from New York. If you
want to see them off – they will be leaving from the Depew train station on
February 24th at 8:45 a.m.
The
Bishop is coming on Sunday May 6. That
means that it is time to start talking about confirmation. If
you are a young person who will turn 15 this academic year and would like to be
confirmed or if you are an adult who has not been confirmed or received into the
Episcopal Church and would like to be – the Bishop’s visit is the
opportunity for that. Confirmation
preparation this year will have two parts.
Both
parts are required. The confirmation
preparation program covers the following material:
